The Best 1st Birthday Party Ever!

The first time I met Tessa, she was in her mama’s belly.  The second time, she was only a few days old and just as cute as a button!

It’s hard to believe she’s already a year old!  I was so excited to get to photograph her 1st Birthday party.

Here’s the Birthday girl!

And here she is with her fabulously creative mama and proud papa.

Just look at all the amazing details mom, Jennifer made.

Custom cookies for her guests (you have to have some amazing baked goods when your parents have the best bakery in town, Beverly’s Best.

Guests were asked to bring a book about love to donate to a local charity.  This little one wanted to make sure she finished reading hers before she gave it away. 🙂

Super cute cake!  The theme was 12 months of love.  I also loved the vintage Valentines!

Here’s the whole gang.  You might remember them from their Disneyland photo shoot.

They had a fresh omelet bar.

Grandpas shootin’ the breeze.

But the best thing (in my opinion) was the donut bar.  CRAZY AWESOME!!!!

Just adorable!

And how cute are the little milk bottles?

The guests seemed more than pleased with the goodies!

Now for the big event.  The cake.  Tessa did a good job smashin’ it up.

Sometimes you just gotta dive in.

Good job, girl!

After gettin’ cleaned up, goin’ for a little walk with grandpa.

They played bingo and all of the words were things about Tessa or her favorite things.

Such a happy birthday girl!

Happy Birthday Tessa!  I can’t wait to see how you grow!

Kids grow so quickly.  That’s why I’m sure this little one is probably a foot taller since we did this shoot a few months ago!

This family was such a blessing to photograph.  The daddy of this little peanut is one great husband!  He gave his wife a gift certificate for a family shoot with me for Christmas.  When I asked what this little sweetie likes, mom, Jennifer, told me she loves trains and balloons.  So I grabbed some balloons and spent the afternoon playing around the Los Rios District.  The owner of the flower shop even came out and gave this little cutie a pretty rose to match her pink tutu.  So sweet!  It’s days like these that make me so grateful to do what I do.
