OK… I’m back.  There’s been a lot going on.  My wonderful roommate, Heidi, is getting married in 10 days and another friend is moving in.  I’ve been busy with bridal showers and bachelorette parties.  Plus I’ve been sick.  But now I’m getting things caught up! I’ve got a wedding and two engagement shoots to blog, but first I wanted to do another installment of Theater Thursday!

A while back I found out that OC Performing Arts Center was doing a new musical called The Unauthorized Autobiography of Samantha Brown by Kait Kerrigan and Brian Lowdermilk.  It was a unique opportunity it see a musical in its developmental stages and to be a part of the process that takes a theatrical piece from its early stages to the big stage.  Just my cup of tea!!!!  They had no real set, and only a few chairs for props, but it was fun.  It was interesting to see a musical at this stage in the game, seeing that there were still definitely some kinks to work out, but the songs were great!  And who knows… maybe we’ll see it on Broadway soon!

Of course, I came home and did some searches on Youtube to see what else I could find from this show.  One of my favorite clips was this one.  I LOVE this song.  And this guy’s performance.  This is from a concert of Kerrigan and Lowdermilk’s music.  I’ve watched this clip so many times.

This is another song from the show.  So catchy and fun (this is obviously from some sort of Obama rally a while back).  The one playing Samantha is Kait Kerrigan.

And this is something fun I found when I was trying to find out more info on one of the actresses in the show who was hilarious.  This is another song by Kerrigan and Lowdermilk.  I don’t want to admit how many times I’ve watched this.  It makes me laugh every single time!
