You may remember Aubrey & Stephen from their adorable engagement session in Old Town Orange. I had been looking forward to their wedding day for months and months. Through the process of wedding planning, I had gotten to know Aubrey and to see the depth of her character, thoughtfulness, and love for God. She told me in our first meeting that she had been following my blog since she was a bridesmaid in two of here friends weddings that I had photographed. As she had read posts I had written about the struggles of being single, she told me she prayed for me, that I would meet my special someone. It was this glimpse that showed me this girl’s heart is one of beauty and sensitivity. And I knew that Stephen was both a lucky man and a quality one to cature this girl’s heart.

Their wedding day had a simple elegance to it. 70 of their closest friends and family wer invited towitness their vows at Yorba Linda Baptist Church and to join them for a backyard reception with tacos and churros!

Their ceremony was perfect, full of sacred worship, family, and laughter. The pastor, Aubrey’s uncle, gave them gifts as part of the ceremony. A sign about grace, to remind them of the grace they need to show each other. Whistles as a reminder to always find something to celebrate. And a puzzle to remind them to play together.


















A few years ago Aubrey’s dad got each of his daughters a Starbucks card that he would automatically reload. But he told them that when they got married their card was revoked. There was a little bit of a “ceremony” to commemorate this moment. 🙂

Aubrey & Stephen, I’m so grateful that I got to be a part of your day. I am blessed to know you and can’t wait to see how God works in and through you as you serve His people and go wherever it is He sends you.
